Accident on JFK Causeway Causes Delays and Sends Two People To Hospital

An accident along the Westbound JFK Causeway sent two people to the hospital Sunday night with non-life threatening injuries.  

The accident occurred around 6:00 pm when a small compact car driven by a man in his 60s rolled over blocking both westbound lanes. Emergency personnel worked for several minutes to free the driver while traffic backed up well past Aquarius Dr. on the Island.

The Causeway was shut down for over an hour while police and emergency responders worked to clear the accident.

A female passenger who was also In the vehicle was also injured in the crash. Both were transported to Bay Area Hospital with internal injuries and broken bones. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
