Unstable atmosphere ripe for development

As unstable air looms over most of South Texas Thursday evening, severe weather has begun to break out to the north.

While things have largely remained dry here in the city, officials are continuing to monitor the weather situation closely.

Crews from the city’s utility department have been working all afternoon Thursday to make sure that debris is removed from drainage inlets and have prepositioned equipment in the event that it is needed.

The city is urging resident ma to monitor the situation closely and do their part to reduce the risk of flooding.
