This Weeks Weather Outlook
If you plan on being or working outside through the first half of the week it will be hot!
The chance for rain and a perceivable drop in temperatures has increased a bit for the second half of the week. High pressure will move to the west for a few days and allow a weak area of low pressure and “cold” front to move into the state by mid week.
Through the boiling heat of the afternoon on Wednesday, that increased lift in the atmosphere will give us a 40% chance for a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. A few more showers will be possible on Thursday.
As far as rainfall totals are concerned, we not expecting enough to bust the ever worsening drought. A few lucky spots may pick up as much as a half inch of rain, but we are far behind schedule since the start of July.
So, let’s settle in for some heat this week and be careful and mindful of the signs and symptoms of heat stroke.
