Breaking: Large Brush Fire Breaks Out In Flour Bluff

Emergency responders are on scene of a large brush fire near Shoreline Estates in Flour Bluff. Units from around the area are on scene working to get a handle on the blaze which started around 1:30 pm Wednesday afternoon. 

Earlier large plumes of smoke could be seen billowing from the scene shortly after the blaze broke out. However, as of 2:25 pm the amount of smoke from the fire had appeared to have diminished significantly as crews are working to get the fire under control.

The fire here in the area is now under control and has burned approximately 4-5 acres. Rapid response from area agencies helped contain the fire.
