Texas News: Former Llano County Deputy Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

The Texas Hill Country is learning more about the charges that are being brought against somebody that was formerly sworn to protect them. A former Llano County, Texas Deputy Sheriff was indicted this week on 19 felonies for various child pornography offenses. Court records show that former Deputy Steven Sifford was indicted on 16 charges of Possession of Child Pornography and 3 charges of Possession of Child Pornography with Intent to Distribute. 

Sifford was previously charged with Assault Family Violence and Unlawful Restraint on July 30, 2019, both Class A misdemeanors. Sifford is also charged with one additional charge of Possession of Child Pornography previously. 

 Sifford has been in Kerr County Jail since September 1, 2019 under a 100,000.00 bond. Bond on the current charges is set at 30,000.00 on each F2 charge and 15,000.00 on each F3 charge in addition to the 100,000.00 bond. According to Sheriff Bill Blackburn Sifford was terminated on July 30, 2019 after his initial arrest on the Assault Family Violence Charge.
