ONE IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING INCIDENT ON EVERHART

South Side-- One person was taken into police custody following an incident Sunday evening near Everhart and Cedar Pass.

The incident happened just after 10:00 PM when the driver of a red pickup was apparently driving recklessly when he struck a fire hydrant on Everhart.  The driver then attempted to turn his badly damaged truck left onto Cedar Pass where he came to a stop after the damage seemed to make the vehicle undriveable.

Police arrived and took the driver into custody on unknown charges.  EMS was called to the scene but the driver did not appear to be seriously injured and was not transported to the hospital.
