Restaurant Review Of The Week: Lei Kitchen
Our weekly restaurant review this week is taking a look at a home grown, Asian fused bistro located over off of Saratoga near Weber. Tucked away in a tiny shopping center at 4037 Saratoga Blvd #D, Lei Kitchen offers fresh, clean and casual Asian dining that we felt certainly made the grade.
Though small and fairly cramped inside, Lei Kitchen has Asian inspired food mixed with local flavors that really kick your taste buds into overdrive. Imagine a plate of pepper steak with tender strips of beef and moist peppers, topped with sprigs of fresh--really fresh, crisp cilantro. Pair that with a side of white rice and a cold drink and you have a real winner.
Another selection that we tried (and loved) was the sesame chicken. We paired that with a side of white rice, too and we loved it!
But to start we had the obligatory egg rolls, soups and crab rangoon. All of it was beyond top shelf. The triangle crab rangoon were stuffed full with cream cheese, crab and flavorful challots. Perhaps, the best anywhere around that we have tried.
For 2 people it set us back about $35 and it was very well worth it.
This week we give Lei Kitchen 4 out of 5 stars.
