Corpus Christi Firefighters Quarantined After COVID-19 Exposure From Patient

Corpus Christi, Texas (Southside Light News)— Five Corpus Christi, Texas firefighters have been quarantined following a COVID-19 exposure.

Officials say that on March 19th a Corpus Christi Fire Department team of six emergency responders from station 12 in Annaville responded to a congestive heart failure call for service.

Officials learned on Wednesday that the patient who is still in the hospital has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, five of the six firefighters involved in the call for service have been quarantined until April 2.

One of the five began feeling sick today and is being quarantined separately.

That individual will be tested for COVID-19 tomorrow morning. In addition, three other firefighters who came into contact with the sick firefighter today will be quarantined.
