Corpus Christi, Texas (Southside Light News)—The city announced Saturday morning that two additional firefighters have been placed into isolation following possible exposure to a patient who showed signs of possibly having COVID-19.
In a press release the city says that the pair were wearing protective equipment but were wearing only safety glasses.
Out of an abundance of caution, the firefighters were placed into isolation pending test results from the patient.
The patient was tested at the hospital and officials are awaiting results.
This exposure is in addition to the local firefighters who are already in quarantine for an unrelated exposure incident that occurred earlier this week.
